Lately I have had a multitude of things to do. Which basically means writing my Senior Research Paper. I finished early for the extra credit. Which made me super duper happy. It's Winter Break now, so I have time to do everything that I haven't been able to do.
I've caught up on my 365 Project uploads to Flickr, but I took so little time each day to take a picture that I decided a summary of my favorites was in order, starting before Thanksgiving Break.
Aislinn and I went over to Laurie's house. We dressed up all pretty, and went outside in the icy-cold air to take pictures with glow sticks. I liked the results, but I wasn't completely satisfied. So maybe once the weather is warmer we will have a sequel to this little adventure. That way we won't have icicles for fingers, toes and noses.
Mom and I went to a park by where my dad grew up and took pictures in the golden light. I acted like a slightly-deranged dork again in public.
The leaves on my truck toward the end of Thanksgiving Break were so pretty. I loved how the warm colors contrasted with my truck's light blue paint.
I borrowed a lens from the Photo Department at school, just to see what kind of difference it made, but as I vaguely suspected, it acts wonky and half-alive like all of the other equipment there. It made pretty reflections however, which entertained me whilst I was supposed to be studying my one hundred seventy-something vocabulary words for the test.
One morning my neighbor called to tell us that there was a wild turkey in front of his house. Armed with my camera I chased the cute thing down the street. I shot the turkey. With my camera.
I had a photo shoot with the cat. She likes to glare in all the pictures I take of her. If someone was to only know my cat through the pictures I have of her stored on my computer, they would thing she has a indiscreet dislike for me. But I do get cute pictures, sometimes, usually when she is caught unaware or too sleepy to care.
I finished my SRP on Wednesday, reread it Thursday before getting it bound, and turned it in Friday. So here is a picture of a spoon.
At some point during the week, I found these. Then I wore them to school the next day.
As celebration for completing the SRP before Winter Break, Laurie and I went shooting in the mountains. I shot a 22 pistol and rifle, 38 pistol, 45 pistol, a unknown rifle and a 12 gauge shotgun. It was SO MUCH FUN. Perfect celebration.
Mom and I went on a walk. And I tried to incorporate what my photo teacher kinda sorta taught us a little bit into my editing.
Last night I took pictures and acted in a Christmas dinner production at my church. Teresa and I dressed up like old time Jewish teenagers and talked about babysitting baby Jesus. We came up with the skit that morning, out of necessity.
Today, Mom and I went up to Grass Valley and Nevada City and wandered through shops in the historical districts. Antique shops are the greatest, because they have random cool old things that I am bent on decorating my country house with someday.
